THE PLANNING AND SUPPLY ANALYSIS OF ANTIBIOTIC BY USING CRITICAL INDEX ABC METHOD IN PHARMACY INSTALLATION OF BESEMAH REGIONAL HOSPITAL
Abstract
Background : Medicines which available from pharmacy installation is one of the important factor as the services support to the patients. So that, pharmacy must perform rigorous inventory control to avoid the medicine emptiness. Because, medicine emptiness can inhibit the curative process to the patients.
Method : This research is quantitative descriptive. The secondary data is antibiotic consumption which was gotten from pharmacy installation and the primary data is interview output by questioner that was distributed to the doctor in Besemah Regional Hospital. This research also qualitative research, that's aim to descript the planning, supplying, budgeting, and controlling the supply of medicine.
Result : From the research result, it is known that the medicine supply management in pharmacy installation of Besemah Regional Hospital has not going well. Cause it is still there's medicine that unavailable. By using ABC index critical analyze, it was gained as much as 8 items unavailable in group A, 21 items in group B, 32 items in group C. The Controlling of A critical index group is use EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) and ROP (Reorder Points) method.
Conclusion : Inventories are generally drug planning adn supply system that has been done formally in RSD besemah not running well, it still is seen by the occurrence of drug unavailability during the period January-May 2010 so the need for more effective and efficient planning.It hope the medicine supply control management in pharmacy installation can be more optimally.
