COORDINATION OF RECORDING AND REPORTING MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH IN HEALTH CENTRE AT WORKING AREA OF HEALTH DEPARTMENT OF PADANG CITY

Abstract


Background : The recording and reporting of maternal and child health aimed to record and report all of results of maternal and child health care in health centre to support the management of public health efforts. The lateness of health data transmission effected the decision making/stakeholder did not take decision and health policy based on accurate data. The objectivity of this research was to analyze coordination of recording and reporting maternal and child health in health centre at working area of Health Department of Padang City.

Method : This research is descriptive with quantitative research methods. The unit analysis in this research are health centres at working area of Health Department of Padang City and the samples consist of 6 health centres with coordinator SP2TP, coordinator maternal and child health, the employee of sub health centre, and employee of healthcare post of district which consist of 20 peoples. The technique of sampling of the health centres and the work units is purposive sampling.

Result : Showed that 66,7% of health centres with the knowledge of the employees was good. Aspects of the completeness of the facilities of 6 health centres did not yet have the facilities. Aspects of the division of job of 6 health centres, there are employees who do not have the suitability between the implementation of the task with  the standard of the task in each of unit of work. It also known that 66,7% of health centres with not good controlling, 66,7% of health centres with good communication, while 66,7% of health centres with supervision is not good. Standardization aspects of the generally there is no standardization of the work process and the type of coordination was reciprocal interdependence and sequential interdependence.

Conclusion : Improves the understanding of the employees about the coordination and improvement of the implementation of the coordination mechanism of the recording and reporting of maternal and child health.
