OCCUPATIONAL FATIGUE ON WORKERS AT BENGKEL AUTO 2000PLAJU BRANCH IN PALEMBANG ON 2011
Abstract
Background : Fatigue is a problem that need the occupational caring because occupational fatigue will influence work productivity even workers health. The effect of fatigue can reduce performance and company productivity. The purpose of this study is to know personal factor, work load, illumination intensity and hot work climate with occupational fatigue level toward workers of Bengkel AUTO 2000 Plaju Branch in Palembang of 2012.
Methode : This study used observational method with cross sectional study design. The instruments in this study were reaction-timer, scale, questionnaire, and record of medical examinations of employees. The data analysis technique were in univariate and bivariate with chi square anad exact fisher’s test.
Result : The result of statistic test stated that there were significant relation between age (Pvalue = 0,016), work unit (Pvalue = 0,016), health condition (Pvalue = 0,043), work load (Pvalue = 0,021), and work climate (Pvalue = 0,016) with the occupational fatigue leve,. and there was no significant relation between work mass (Pvalue = 0,322), nutrition status (Pvalue = 0,321), and light intensity (Pvalue = 0,184) with the occupational fatigue level on Workers at Bengkel AUTO 2000 Plaju Branch in Palembang in 2011.
Conclusions : The recommendation to this company is need to rotate the workers, provide additional food to complete workers nutrional need, add local illumination toward worker doing very small thing, specific health exemination for workers and provide drinking electrolit water as body fluid change and minera; capseule for those work with higher work climate.
