CORRELATION OF KADARZI BEHAVIOR ON THE NUTRITIONAL STATUS TODDLERS IN HEALTH CENTERS SIMPANG TIMBANGAN INDRALAYA
Abstract
Background: Coverage of number in the association of nutrition conscious family program to weigh regularly toddler was lower (66,92%), exclusive breastfeeding (26,83%), vitamin a supplementation in child aged 12-59 months (51,52%). Base on BB/U found 2 (two) malnourished toddlers and 1 (one) malnutrition toddler. Therefore, this research aims to determine the correlation of nutrition conscious family behavior on the nutritional status toddlers aged 6-23 months in working area health centers Simpang Timbangan in 2014.
Method: The research is an analytical study of cross-sectional approach. Sampel in this study were 73 toddlers aged 6-23 months in health centers Simpang Timbangan working area. Respondents of the study were the toddlers’ mothers. Data collection tool used interview with questionnaire, baby scale and metered through direct measurement toddlers anthropometry.Result: The results showed that there was no worth relationship between the nutrition conscious family behavior with nutritional status of toddlers aged 6-23 months based on indicators BB/U (p = 1,000), PB/U (p = 0,466), BB/PB (p = 1,000) and IMT/U (p = 1,000).
Conclusion: It can be concluded that there was no relationship between the nutrition conscious family behavior with nutritional status of toddlers aged 6-23 months. Suggest to the health department and local governments of Ogan Ilir need to improve coaching or research to clinic staff, especially the field of urban health centers and nutrition workers to increase promotion of nutrition conscious family
