REDUCING THE NEGATIVE IMPACT OF HIGH RISK OF PREGNANT WOMEN THROUGH TRAINING OF VILLAGE MIDWIVES

Abstract


Background : According to Riskesdas, 2010, complications of pregnancy were suffered by about 6.5% of pregnant women. Various efforts have been made in order to reduce maternal mortality rate and achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by 2015, the decline in MMR to 102 per 100,000 live births, including the training of midwives.

Method : This study is a literature study that proposed the necessity for midwife training in order to reduce high-risk pregnancy for the mother, and to understand the training process and the obstacles .

Result : There are several obstacles in order to conduct training midwives including; regional policy, the fragmentation in planning and budgeting, organizing and mobilizing in an effort to reduce maternal and child mortality rate.

Conclusion : The need stewership efforts and leadership, the need for planning and budgeting priorities in health, and the need for cooperation with other parties (hospital) to perform on the job training in the field of obstetrics.
